Wow.........

Today was the day that I worked seven, long hard years for.  Once I picked up my degree, my daughter ran to me to hug me and she said over and over in my ear, "You did it mommy, you did it!"  I think we did it.

Today was surreal....I cried.  When they called my name, and I walked across the stage, I could hear my daughter screaming, "Yeah mommy!"  My other loved ones yelling for me.....wow.

Here is the moment:

  1. I stumbled on your blog a couple of hours ago, and it is truly inspirational. I cried while watching your graduation video, not only because you have finally made such an accomplishment - but also because as I heard your daughter's voice... it made me image the day when my children will be sitting in her place. When that day comes, mine will be 16, 15, 14, and 5. It seems like such a long journey, but you've given such a gift by describing the experience, trials, tribulations, and by sharing your graduation video, that I know now that the bar will be looming before me before I know it. :) From one single mom to another, thank you!

  2. J: So glad that you found inspiration through this blog! That's exactly why I chose to do this! The day will come when it is your children proud.... Honestly, seeing her excitement and pride in me caused more tears that day than anything else! After all, we not only do it for ourselves, we do it for our children! Lisa
